Top class Simmental Fleckvieh herd in Denmark
Tobias Petzenberger won a class of heifers at the German National Youth Show in Erfurt last week. He did it with a daughter of Sneumgaard Imperator PP – Nelke PP. Congratulations to Tobias for once again showing an outstanding Imperator-heifer!

At the Danish National Show Birkesig Simmental won the National Junior Cup for Simmentals. The cup is awarded yearly to the best individual among both bulls and heifers younger than 15 months. It has never happened before, that it was won by such a young animal. Jesper Jensen’s winning heifer Nabia P is only 6½ months old – not yet 200 days old. By the official show weighing she weighed 383 kilo! The British judge said, that it was just the one he would like to breed himself! Greater praise is not worth to look for! Birkesig Nabia P is a daughter of Sneumgaard Imperator PP and Vingegaard Lobelia with Celtic Comet as Dams Sire. In addition to the Junior Cup, Nabia was awarded an honorary prize. It is a great pleasure for us when someone achieves such great results with genes from Sneumgaard – so we congratulate our friend Jesper Jensen, Birkesig Simmental! (You can magnify the picture)
At the National Show in Denmark 2018 Sneumgaard Nobel PP bacame number one in his class with Sneumgaard Nexus P as runner up. Both boys are sons of Sneumgaard Imperator PP. left Nexus and right Nobel.
Our daughter Ellen Marie is here ready to go to the National Show with two sons of Sneumgaard Imperator PP, Sneumgaard Nexus P (left) and Sneumgaard Nobel PP. We hope to defend our title from last year – best bull. The show takes place in Herning between 5th and 7th July. Keep you posted here for show news the comming days!
Sneumgaard Nobel PP is the first calf after Sneumgaard Imperator PP, which has been showcased in Denmark. Already as 11 months old calf, he appeared as an adult bull at the Regional Show in Aabenraa 2018. He won both the title as “Best Simmental Bull” and as “Best Simmental Junior Individual”. Judge Thomas Eydner, Neuseenland Simmental in Germany described him as follows:
“He is a large calf, who is very developed seen in relation to his age. He is long and very muscular with fine limbs, at the same time being very harmonious and wellcomposed and coherent.”
Judge Eydner awarded Nobel 23 out of 24 point, which means that he did not find any significant flaws on conformation or movement – close to perfect. We thank Thomas Eydner for the extolling assessment. Now we only hope that it will be repeated by the next judge at the National Show in Herning in about a month, where he will be one of our two bids to defend the title from last year as best national bull. Sneumgaard Nobel’s pedigree can be seen under the picture. Nobels maternal brother Sneumgaard Leonardo PP was sold to Simmental Leznicky in the Czeck Republic two years ago.

Congratulations to the German top-breeder Tobias Petzenberger – a good friend of many European Simmental folks! His lovely heifer Klara PP – sired by Sneumgaard Imperator PP – only 13 months of age – won second place of the heifers at the recent held beef cattle show in Hesse in Germany. Although she was only the second youngest heifer at the show – she shone like a top star! She is described as: “She has a lot of meat and she is very well musceled. She ticks all the boxes: Meat, easy to feed, very docile, good limbs, good udder conditioning., homozygous polled, good pelvis, broad back and chuck, fleshy buttocks, fleshy top- and buttom round combined with a good locomotion”. We have sold Sneumgaard Kalorius P to Mr Peder Bay, Denmark. This is the 5th time he purchase a herd-bull from our herd! Congratulations and good luck with number 5!
Before Sneumgaard Kilroy P had even finished his test, he was sold. We congratulate Poul Olsen, Denmark with the purchase of an unusual docile bull. Kilroys final test result at 365 days were as follow:
Weight: 741 kg
Average daily gain from test beginning at 225 days to 365 days: 2021 gr
Average daily gain from birth to 365 days: 1868 gr
